What makes Amoro’s jewelry unique, compared to that of other jewelers?
Our signature emphasis on distinctive design details, meticulous workmanship, and exceptional gem quality combine to make each Amoro creation unique. With our broad selection, you’re sure to find something you love – probably several somethings. Best of all, our sensible pricing and Full Satisfaction policy assure you of receiving the level of beauty, value and comfort you seek.
What if I have questions or need help deciding what to buy?
While Amoro is an online shopping venue, the experience doesn’t end there. As you browse our collections, should you wish for more details or personal assistance in making an informed choice, one of our dedicated Customer Care representatives will be happy to help. They’re highly knowledgeable and work right here at Amoro. They do, however, sleep at night like you do… so it’s best to request help during business hours.
Will I receive an authenticity certificate with my Amoro purchase?
Absolutely. Eternitymark®, Pristine Hearts® and larger classic cut diamond jewelry purchased from Amoro will be accompanied by an original diamond report issued by a recognized independent gemological laboratory. Amoro Certificates of Authenticity for smaller pieces are available online, and are emailed on purchase to the customer. These certificates can be used for insurance purposes or for keeping a record of your ‘jewelry wardrobe’.
Where does Amoro get their diamonds and other gemstones from?
With more than 40 years’ experience as an industry leader, we have developed strong relationships with reliable and trusted sources for the highest-quality polished gemstones used in the creation of Amoro’s jewelry collection. Our diamonds are purchased from global sources that adhere to the prevailing standards governing the purchase of diamonds from non-conflict areas – the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and System of Warranties.
What are today’s most popular engagement ring styles?
Trends go in and out of style rapidly in the fashion and wedding business – and while we’re always fashionable here at Amoro, we don’t pretend to set fashion trends. We leave that to the beautiful magazines that do it so well. Rather, Amoro’s classic designs and hidden romantic details ensure that our rings will be in style for many happy years to come. Because love is timeless.
Will Amoro create custom designed rings?
We’re happy to. Our ‘Amoro By You’ jewelry service is an exquisite way to make your jewelry truly yours. Bring your own concept to life, or transform one of our existing jewelry designs into a treasured gift for yourself or someone you adore. Our artisans and jewelry specialists will work with you directly to incorporate your special requests – from gemstone quality and cut, to gold color and setting features. Questions about Diamonds:
I’ve heard of the ‘Four C’s’ of diamonds, but is that all there is to it?
Hardly. In their search for stones that represent exceptional value and beauty, our expert gemologists look far beyond the familiar Four C’s of diamond grading. They look deeply into the diamond’s heart, because that’s where the ideal balance of cut, color and clarity is found. Many stones with excellent characteristics on paper simply don’t ‘make the cut’ with us – our visual standards for brilliance are that high, and the trained human eye captures the magic the numbers on paper cannot. Whether you choose an Amoro Eternitymark®, Pristine Hearts® or any of the other cuts we feature, you may be certain it has met the strictest quality assurance criteria.
After Cut, which is the more important characteristic – Color or Clarity?
Despite the objective scientific metrics involved, the answer to this question is purely subjective for most jewelry buyers. The fact is, diamond color and clarity are hard for the casual observer to ‘see’. Yet they can have a significant effect on stone value – so they’re not unimportant. Amoro adheres to very high color and clarity standards in all our diamond jewelry. Our flagship Eternitymark® Diamond line requires H color or better and VS2 or better clarity, while our Pristine Hearts® Diamonds range from D through H in color with VS2 or better clarity.
Why is there no A, B, or C in the diamond color grading system?
Like many things in life, the explanation involves some accidental factors. In the 1950’s, when the Gemological Institute of America introduced their new grading scale for diamond color, previous grading systems already relied on certain letters, numbers and descriptive words to express stone quality. To eliminate confusion with their new system, they designated a color range that skips A, B and C – instead beginning with color D (completely colorless) and ranging to color Z (very light yellow). We’re not so certain this eliminated confusion… but it’s been the way things work, every since.
