Many couples however are not so comfortable writing their thank you’s. If you happen to be one of them, here are some tips on Thank You Note Etiquette. 1. Organization and Planning Before you start opening your gifts, make a list of your guests and other people you have invited. You should still include those who failed to attend, because they may still send you a gift. Make a column for their name, address and check if they attended the wedding. Once the gifts are opened, you can add a brief description of your gift next to your guest’s name. 2. Write Your Appreciation When you’re writing your thank you note, mention the gift they have given and how you plan on using it. Adding a personal touch will be far more appreciative than plainly saying “Thank you for your gift, we appreciate it.” 3. Timeliness This is pretty much as essential as the note itself. The wedding thank you notes should be sent out 2-3 weeks after the wedding. Sending your letters of appreciation to your wedding guests is the right thing to do and hopefully these tips will help to make it easier.
