How many times have I told you not to play with your food. “But Mamma it is so beautiful. It looks like Signora’s fine pearls” No one could deny that Sophia had a playful imagination and a knack for drama and a love of pearls. “When I grow up I’m going to be a famous actress and star in movies and wear strands upon strands of pearls on my neck” If you don’t eat, you’ll never grow up. But she did grow up and when asked about her famous figure Sophia Loren was often quoted: “Everything you see I owe to spaghetti” And there is a lesson to this simple story. ‘And that is. . ‘ If you want to look like Sophia Loren when you grow up. . eat your spaghetti and don’t play with your food. ‘That’s all I have to do?” And don’t forget to wear your pearls- strand upon strand upon strand around your neck.
